The Junts per Lleida municipal group has once again called on the Paeria (City Council) to ensure the safety of young people walking home from the Biloba nightclub.

The controversy resurfaced this February 2026 following the launch of Lleida's first night bus line, the N1 Mangraners-Secà-Balàfia. Despite providing 30-minute frequencies across the city, the new route does not serve the Biloba area, the largest nightlife venue in the Segrià capital.
The complaint stems from viral images showing groups of youths walking along the LL-11 highway at night. Junts argues that the license granted in 2016 mandates the club to provide a shuttle service connecting the venue with the city center during operating hours.
Currently, many patrons take dangerous shortcuts, including walking on highway shoulders or crossing concrete medians. While safer routes exist through Pardinyes or la Bordeta, the scarcity of taxis often leads youths to take high-risk paths along the main road.
