The request was made during the 29th Governing Body of the FTN, held in La Granja d’Escarp, in the presence of mayor Manel Solé. President Masot emphasized that the 5 million euro figure is considered "insufficient" for the nine municipalities in Segrià included in the PENTA II area.
Jaume Baró, Secretary of the Department of Business and Innovation of the Generalitat de Catalunya, stated that the request is being considered and assured that the aid call will be officially published "in a few days".
Regarding the 2026 business aid call, Baró announced that resolutions will be made known in October. A total of 547 projects from 660 companies have been submitted, with over half (51.74%) related to business investment and 12.25% focusing on technological innovation.
12.07% of the projects (66) are linked to high added value entrepreneurship, and 8% (44 projects) are oriented towards job creation.
