The town of Seròs saw the arrival of the first modular units for its new Fire Station this Monday, marking the final phase of a long-standing local demand.

The new facility, with a budget of 1.9 million euros, will span 832 square meters. It is designed to house 31 firefighters and includes modern amenities such as a control room, gym, and specialized vehicle maintenance areas. The Government of Catalonia intends for this project to serve as a blueprint for future volunteer fire stations.

"The new station will have all the necessary elements for the firefighters to carry out their essential work."

The local fire brigade has been operating out of temporary warehouses since November 2021, when their previous 26-year-old headquarters were condemned due to structural failures. Construction is expected to be fully completed by the beginning of summer.
