The canoeing section of Sícoris Club began its 75th anniversary celebrations this weekend in Lleida by securing a major victory at the 1st Spanish Cup for wildwater canoeing.

The local club achieved 1,349 points and 17 medals across two days of competition. Events took place in Sort (Pallars Sobirà) on Saturday and at Lleida's Mitjana Park on Sunday. The latter marked a historic milestone, as the Segre River's flow was suitable for wildwater racing within the city for the first time.
Established in 1951, the section has planned several events for 2026. Highlights include an open house on May 17, a specialized triathlon on September 20, and a 75-kilometer solidarity marathon on October 17 to support La Marató de 3Cat.
