The Ribera d’Ebre region has been particularly hit by the hailstorm, with hailstones up to ten centimeters in diameter in Móra d’Ebre and Móra la Nova. These have caused holes in fiber cement roofs, damaged solar panels, and broken vehicle windows. Municipalities and residents are working on repairs.
In Priorat, Unió de Pagesos estimates a 50% loss of the remaining grape harvest in the Falset area. In Pallars Jussà, hail has caused up to 70% of almonds to fall from trees in areas like Tremp and Abella de la Conca. The Terra Alta region, however, has not reported significant damage.
In Segrià, initial inspections suggest less damage than initially feared, despite the considerable size of hailstones in municipalities such as Almenar and Corbins. Most of the fruit had already been harvested. Nevertheless, up to 80% damage is estimated for late peaches in Almenar and Ivars de Noguera.
In Tarragona, municipal services worked through the night to remove fallen trees and clear drains, particularly in the Part Baixa and Serrallo areas. Some residents in Monnars and Rodolat del Moro are without electricity due to a tree falling on power lines.
The storm affected several campsites, requiring temporary relocation of some families. Mobility remains limited on four municipal bus lines. The Plaça dels Carros still has accumulated water in its underpass.
City parks, monuments, and facilities like the Passeig Arqueològic remain closed as a precaution. The municipal parking lot Tàrraco is also inoperable due to water accumulation.
The mayor of Tarragona, Rubén Viñuales, highlighted the absence of personal injuries despite the storm's intensity.
