The Provincial Council of Lleida and the City Council (Paeria) have agreed to the cession of use of the Torre Vicens building for a period of 25 years, after the renovation of its structure and facade.

The agreement includes the cession of the emblematic modernist building, donated by Rosa Vicens Roca in 1937 to be used for charitable and community purposes for the Secà de Sant Pere neighborhood.
The passage of time had significantly degraded the property. According to the deputy for Technical Services of the Provincial Council, Cristina Morón, technicians warned that there was a risk the building could collapse during the initial phases of the renovation project.
The works carried out so far have focused on reinforcing the entire exterior facade. The next phase of the project will involve the interior adaptation of the building. The cost of the works completed amounts to 371,798.20 euros.
