The Diputación de Lleida has approved a new cooperation plan for the county councils of the Pyrenees and Lleida Plains, with a budget of 460,000 euros, which for the first time includes funds for tourism investment expenses.

The General Board of the Tourism Board of the Diputación de Lleida approved on July 6 the new cooperation plan for the county councils of the Pyrenees and Lleida Plains, aiming to promote tourism in the territory. This year, the plan introduces a novelty: the creation of a fund for investment expenses, always linked to tourism activities.
Eligible actions include the installation of fixed promotional elements such as information vinyls, improving accessibility at tourism offices, installing technological equipment for visitors, creating or renovating the regional tourism website, developing promotional mobile applications, implementing integrated booking and registration systems on the website, and producing digital content for social media.
The total budget for the plan amounts to 460,000 euros. Of this sum, 355,000 euros will be allocated to tourism promotion actions, and the remaining 105,000 euros to investment expenses. Each county council will receive 40,000 euros, with exceptions for Cerdanya (20,000 euros) and the Val d’Aran, which has its own agreement.
This call for proposals addresses the needs communicated by the county councils to the Tourism Board. The tourism entity thus continues its efforts to position the Pyrenees and Lleida Plains as a leading destination for inland and mountain tourism, facilitating investments to enhance promotional tools and the visitor experience.
