The session, which follows up on the one held at the University of Barcelona, addressed the issue from various perspectives. The event began with welcome remarks from the rector of the University of Lleida, Maria Àngels Balsells Bailón; the secretary of the Consell Interuniversitari de Catalunya, Xavier Martínez Celorrio, and the director of AQU Catalunya, Mercè Gisbert Cervera.
Subsequently, a round table was moderated, featuring participation from Enric Brescó Baigues, professor at the University of Lleida; Marcos Cánovas Méndez, professor at the Universitat de Vic - Universitat Central de Catalunya; Joan Hernández Serret, professor at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya; Remei Quero Soria, management and administration technician at the Library and Documentation area of the University of Lleida, and Marta Ferrón Carbonell, doctoral student in Health Sciences at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya.
The group work, titled 'From diagnosis to action: challenges and solutions for ensuring integrity in the age of AI', was conducted behind closed doors. The conclusions were later presented, with contributions from Francisco Javier Carrera Farran (University of Lleida), Ricard Giramé (Universitat de Vic - Universitat Central de Catalunya), and Gabriel Fernàndez Borsot (Universitat Internacional de Catalunya) as facilitators. The event concluded with interventions from the vice-rector of Governance and PTGAS, Damià Vericat Querol, and the director of AQU Catalunya.
The session was designed to address the challenges and solutions related to the use of artificial intelligence in teaching, structuring collaborative work around teaching programming, classroom activities, and assessment. The recommendations will be compiled into a practical summary document to guide policies and actions that the Catalan university system wishes to promote in this area.
AQU Catalunya will continue the cycle with two more sessions to be held throughout the territory.
