The GAMMA festival has concluded its third edition in Pardinyes, Lleida, leaving a legacy of urban art with four large-format murals and various artistic interventions inspired by the neighborhood's identity.

The festival's closing was marked by a guided tour of the murals and artistic interventions created during the week in the Pardinyes neighborhood. This activity allowed residents to get to know firsthand the works by Guillem Font, Marta Lapeña, Slim Safont, and Txus Montejano, as well as the participatory projects developed with the collaboration of the Ondara Art School of Tàrrega and the Leandre Cristòfol Municipal Art School of Lleida.
This year's interventions in Pardinyes draw inspiration from key elements of the neighborhood's identity, such as the market, popular festivals, and the connection with the Parc de la Mitjana. The result is a collection of works that enrich the urban landscape and reinforce the community's sense of belonging.
The Mayor of Lleida, Fèlix Larrosa; the deputy mayor, Carlos Enjuanes; and the Councilor for Culture, Pilar Bosch, participated in the tour, accompanied by the festival directors, Blai Baules and Francesca Vasile, from CactuSoup, and numerous residents. During the visit, the artists explained their sources of inspiration and creative processes.
On Roger de Llúria street, Guillem Font has created a black and white mural featuring snails and aquatic vegetation, advocating for the flora and fauna of the Parc de la Mitjana and reflecting on the fragility of ecosystems. In the Plusfresc parking lot, at Alguer street, Marta Lapeña has developed a still life inspired by Lleida's agricultural tradition and the Mercat de Barris Nord, highlighting the value of local products.
On Miquel de Cortiada street, Slim Safont has combined documentary photography and contemporary muralism with a composition inspired by family albums from the eighties and nineties, focusing on human relationships and the neighborhood's memory. Finally, Txus Montejano has dedicated his mural on Jaume d'Agramunt street to the popular festivals of Pardinyes and the figure of the Pardinyera, an identity symbol of the neighborhood.
The GAMMA festival focuses on generating artistic interventions in different neighborhoods of Lleida, aiming to transform them and highlight their roots and community. In previous editions, the festival has been held in Balàfia and els Mangraners.
Organized by the Lleida City Council, the festival is supported by the Arts Foundation, the Institute of Ilerdencs Studies (through the Provincial Council of Lleida and the Generalitat de Catalunya), and the collaboration of various entities and companies such as Montana Cans, Pintures Tarròs, Tecnitel, the Ondara Art School, the Leandre Cristòfol Municipal Art School, the association Orvepard, Comecial Mateu, Lleida Turisme, and the Department of Participation.
