The Wage Guarantee Fund (Fogasa) disbursed 2.66 million euros during 2025 to cover unpaid wages and compensation for 336 workers in the Lleida area affected by corporate insolvencies.

Corporate crises in the Lleida demarcation forced 336 workers to turn to the Wage Guarantee Fund (Fogasa), under the Ministry of Labor, to collect overdue wages and severance pay during 2025. All cases handled referred to small-sized firms, averaging fewer than two employees per company in crisis.
In total, Fogasa paid 2.66 million euros last year, a stable figure compared to the previous year. The bulk of this amount, 1.60 million euros, corresponded to severance pay. However, the volume paid for wages increased, rising from 873,861 euros in 2024 to 1.06 million euros in 2025.

The gender pay gap is carried over into the delays and compensation paid in the Lleida demarcation.

The gender analysis shows a significant difference in average payments. Men (211 affected) received an average of 8,160 euros in wages and compensation, while women (111 affected) received an average of 7,510 euros. This disparity reflects the persistence of the existing pay gap in Lleida.
