The 37th edition of the Lleida Puppet Fair has once again filled the city with a diverse program of shows and activities, establishing itself as a meeting point for both the public and industry professionals.

The recently renovated cloister of the Seu Vella was one of the main stages, hosting performances such as Ese Diablo de Arlequín by the Italian company Bambabambin Puppet Theatre, which combined Commedia dell'Arte with puppet theater. Demonstrations like The Horsemen by Les Goulus and Baby Elephant by the German company PasParTouT were also presented in the Plaça dels Apòstols.
Esteve Cuito Square featured two interactive installations: Titeretú by Itinerània, with six giant puppeteer hands challenging balance and coordination, and Selfiematon by Maria Solà, an artisanal reinterpretation of the traditional photo booth.
The Teatre Municipal de l'Escorxador presented Escorça by the company Marc Bosch, a contemporary circus piece exploring identity and power dynamics between puppet and puppeteer. The day concluded at the Cafè del Teatre with A Show with Strings by Long & Short Company, which creates a universe from a thread and hands.
In parallel to the performances, the 18th Technical Conferences brought together nearly 450 accredited professionals at La Llotja. These conferences included practical workshops, presentations of projects and books, such as El Testament by Ramon Molins from Zum Zum Teatre, and speed meeting sessions to connect companies with programmers.
A notable new feature of this edition is the figure of the Critical Spectator, embodied by a director, set designer, and educator with over four decades of experience, who offers constructive and expert criticism to the participating companies.
