The Municipal Auditorium Enric Granados and Lleida Primary Care have consolidated the community project “Vincle Sonor”, a pioneering music therapy initiative for people with persistent pain.

The project's pilot phase has shown significant improvements in mood, a decrease in pain perception, and increased daily functionality for participants. The initiative offers free sessions, psychoeducational support, and concert attendance as part of the therapeutic process.
The Councilor for Culture, Pilar Bosch, highlighted the collaboration between the Paeria and Primary Health Care, emphasizing the healing power of art. Alícia Màrquez, head of Community Health for the Lleida Primary and Community Care Management (GAPiC) of the ICS, underscored the scientific evidence of art's impact on health.
The “Vincle Sonor” program includes six music therapy sessions followed by psychoeducational support meetings to share experiences and reinforce pain coping strategies. The process culminates with joint attendance at a concert from the Auditorium's season.
Access to the project is exclusively through referrals from Lleida Primary Care professionals and is free for users. The intervention is led by certified music therapist Nina Planavila, from Empodera Música, and supervised by psychologist Mireia Vila.
Mireia Vila noted significant improvements in patients' pain levels, a reduction in catastrophizing perception, and enhanced sleep quality.
“Vincle Sonor” is part of the Arts in Health strategy of the ICS, establishing a stable alliance between health and culture in Lleida. The initiators are working to develop this model into a scientific study.
