The Provincial Court of Lleida has dismissed the appeal filed by Lleida CF, confirming the archiving of the complaint against Mayor Fèlix Larrosa and two other officials regarding the management of the Camp d'Esports stadium.

The provincial court's decision aligns with the prior ruling of Instruction Court number 2, which had already dismissed the case against Larrosa, Chief of Staff Xavier Batalla, and Deputy Mayor Begoña Iglesias. The football club's initial complaint alleged potential crimes of document forgery and influence peddling.

"The dismissal proceeds because there are no indications of the commission of any criminal behavior in view of the statements of the appealing party and the documentation attached."

As reported by the Lleida City Council, the Court completely rules out any evidence of the alleged crimes. The tribunal holds that there is nothing to justify the initiation or maintenance of any further judicial investigation.
The court noted that the agreement to rescind the contract for the use of the Camp d'Esports was formalized in 2022, during the previous municipal government's term. This prior agreement supports the subsequent actions taken by the current council.
