Lleida's Local Government Board has approved the tender for the extension of Víctor Torres Avenue, which will improve connectivity to La Bordeta, Els Mangraners, and the southern bypass, as well as the demolition of the former Hill nightclub at Turó de Gardeny.

The Víctor Torres new road project, budgeted at €5,632,625.76, will feature two lanes in each direction, a cycle lane, and the creation of roundabouts to regulate traffic. The plan also includes the extension of Alamús street. The works, with a 12-month execution period, are expected to begin in December and will be funded by the developer of a commercial area in Torre Salses.
In parallel, a tender has been issued for the demolition of the former Hill nightclub and military buildings at Turó de Gardeny for €322,979.42. The aim is to reclaim the space, enhance safety, and prepare the land for future public use, utilizing demolition materials for subsequent urbanization. The works will last six months.
The Local Government Board has also approved the tender for complementary veterinary services for the Companion Animal Shelter (CAAC), known as Refugi dels Peluts, with a budget of €89,540 over two years. These services include emergency rescues and specialized treatments.
Other approved contracts include the maintenance of the Horta paths for €956,502.23 over three years, the supply and maintenance of road signage for €124,916.77 for seven months, the transport and treatment of leachate from the former Serrallarga landfill for €51,500 over six months, and the collection of textile waste for €31,331.16 for six months.
