The city of Lleida has completed the construction of its new bus station, a 40 million euro project integrating the modernist Docs building with a modern glass façade, scheduled to open before the end of March.

After nearly two years of construction, the Lleida bus terminal is practically a reality. The facility, which involved an investment of 40 million euros, combines the historic structure of the Docs building, preserving its iconic brick vaults, with a new glass-fronted construction located at Plaça Ramon Berenguer IV.

"It has been a complicated engineering work, but it is practically operational. A great restoration task has been carried out, and acoustic screens have been installed underneath to reduce noise."

Joan Olivart · Assistant Director of Works
The main lobby provides access to information points, the bar, and the ticket area, which is accessed through two majestic doors in the original wall of the Docs. The terminal features restrooms, screens displaying bus and adjacent train station schedules, an event room, and access to the 28 platforms.
The platform area stands out due to the restored modernist vaults covering nearly half of the space. Furthermore, the station includes an office and coworking area on the first floor and parking for bicycles and electric scooters, with a vehicle entrance and exit of 26 meters wide at Príncep de Viana. The official inauguration date is pending confirmation from the Generalitat.
