The Audiencia de Lleida tried a man this Wednesday accused of continuous sexual assault against his disabled daughter between 2000 and 2013, with the Prosecution maintaining its request for a 15-year prison sentence.

The Prosecution is seeking a 15-year prison sentence for a continuous crime of sexual aggression against a minor under 16 with carnal access, citing the defendant's position of superiority and the victim's vulnerability. Additionally, they request 10 years of supervised release and a 500-meter restraining order.
During the hearing held at the Provincial Court, the victim testified before the court, detailing sexual touching by her father. However, she denied that rape occurred, contradicting a statement she had given to a psychologist four years ago.

"His daughter invents many things."

Forensic psychologists who interviewed the young woman concluded that her account is consistent with a history of intrafamily sexual abuse. The defense, conversely, requested the acquittal of the defendant due to lack of evidence.
According to the indictment, the events allegedly took place between the years 2000 and 2013, when the victim was between 8 and 21 years old, in various residences where she lived with her father, including the cities of Lleida and Reus. The Prosecution also demands 30,000 euros in compensation for moral damages and a 10-year ban on working in professions involving contact with minors.
