The plot follows Olivia, a 12-year-old girl whose life is turned upside down when her family is evicted. They move into an occupied apartment where Olivia must take care of her younger brother Tim and her mother Íngrid, who is suffering from depression. Amidst this personal crisis, Olivia finds support in a new community of neighbors who help her rebuild her life.
L’Olivia i el terratrèmol invisible is the first animated feature film produced in Catalonia using the stop-motion technique and directed by a woman. It has been nominated for the European Film Awards, the Goyas, and has received awards such as the Gan Foundation Prize at the Annecy Festival and the Gaudí Award for best animated film. The film reflects on resilience, the capacity to rebuild in the face of adversity, and the power of imagination.
