The Mayor of Blanes, Jordi Hernàndez, dismissed councilor Rosa Aladern this Tuesday citing a "loss of confidence" following an uncommunicated action related to her private property.

The mayor's decision is based on the fact that Aladern, who held several key departmental responsibilities, carried out an action on a private property without prior notification to either the Town Hall or Hernàndez himself.
This dismissal means that Rosa Aladern, who was the head of the Grup Blanes party list, will now join the opposition groups. As a direct consequence, the municipal government of Blanes is automatically left in a minority position.
During her tenure, Aladern was the political head of important areas such as Engineering, Social Housing Promotion, Health, and the Promotion of Municipal Urban Planning.
It is worth noting that Rosa Aladern had previously been dismissed during the previous mandate, on that occasion by the government led by the Republican Àngel Canosa, adding historical context to her local political career.
