The Domo company in Blanes, a polymer producer, has ceased operations after filing for creditor protection on January 19, impacting its workforce of nearly 90 people.

The Domo plant in Blanes has stopped its production activity after running out of raw materials. Currently, the only work maintained at the facilities is maintenance. This decision follows the request for creditor protection filed two weeks ago, as reported by the digital newspaper Blanesaldia.
The company is a significant player in the industrial fabric of La Selva, as its production focuses on manufacturing essential polymers for the textile and automotive sectors. The situation generates uncertainty about the future of the nearly 90 jobs directly dependent on the plant.

The railway crisis in Rodalies continues to affect mobility in the region, with the Blanes-Maçanet section of the R11 still cut off and operating with alternative bus service.

Parallel to the corporate crisis, the region is affected by mobility restrictions. Although the R11 line has resumed service between Girona and Figueres, the R1 line is experiencing delays due to speed restrictions imposed by Renfe. Adif continues to work on 31 points of the network for urgent repairs.
To mitigate the impact of these cuts, the Generalitat has reinforced the interurban service by contracting 61 new buses, raising the reinforcement fleet to 230 vehicles. These vehicles have been incorporated from various parts of Spain, including eight that arrived from Mallorca last Saturday.
