Renfe resumed train service on the R11 and RG1 lines between Caldes de Malavella and Girona on Wednesday, January 28, despite significant morning delays reported on Thursday.

With the reopening announced on Wednesday, January 28, R11 trains have returned to full circulation between Barcelona and Figueres. The RG1 line also recovers its usual route, facilitating regional connection after recent incidents.
Nevertheless, sections with alternative road service remain in place. For the RG1, the route between Blanes and Maçanet continues to be covered by buses due to repair work on the landslide that occurred. Furthermore, the alternative road service is maintained between Figueres and Portbou.

The buses lengthen the journeys and make it difficult to arrive on time for work or study centers, especially at the Figueres station.

This Thursday morning, delays exceeding half an hour were already registered on the R11 line. According to Renfe sources, these delays are directly related to the reorganization of the service following several days of incidents and interruptions across the network.
