The Arbúcies Municipal Football Pitch officially reopened on Saturday, January 31 with new artificial turf and improved facilities, following construction work that began on December 3.

The inauguration ceremony took place on Saturday afternoon, January 31, marking the return of Arbúcies CF teams home. Several figures attended, including the Mayor, Pere Garriga, the former Sports Councilor, Glòria Cuadras, and the president of the Fundació Arbúcies CF, Rafel Faixedas.
A key moment was the ribbon cutting, which Pere Garriga ceded to Glòria Cuadras, Francesc Ollé (representing the players), and Amador Bernabeu, founder of VISA, the company responsible for the turf installation and grandfather of footballer Gerard Piqué.

The renovated facility, with nearly thirty years of history, seeks to adapt to the current needs of grassroots sports and improve playing conditions for the Arbúcies CF teams.

The renovation, which started on December 3 and finished on January 14, was not limited to the turf. The City Council repainted the changing rooms, replaced the old column irrigation system with an emerging one, and renewed the benches, the two large goals, and the four 7-a-side goals, in addition to the perimeter fence.
The council noted that the pitch, which first received artificial turf in May 2007, sustains high usage intensity with daily training sessions and weekend matches across all categories. The goal of the reform is to improve playing conditions and reduce the risk of injuries caused by surface wear.
