The National Police have arrested a man in Fogars de la Selva for operating a marijuana plantation with approximately 400 plants and an illegal connection to the water supply.

The investigation began after a municipal guard received a tip-off from neighbors reporting strong odors and noises emanating from a residence. Officers confirmed an illegal electricity connection and fire risk, which led to judicial authorization to enter the property.
Inside the dwelling, agents discovered the marijuana plantation in an advanced flowering state, along with cannabis already prepared for consumption. They also found an illegal connection to the water network via a tunnel constructed by the suspect.
During the operation, a puppy was rescued and has since been transferred to an animal shelter. The arrested individual has been brought before the court on charges of public health offenses and utility fraud. Police continue to search for two other individuals linked to the case.
