The XII Blanes Entities Fair, traditionally held later in the year, is being moved to late May to take advantage of the spring weather and avoid meteorological issues experienced in previous editions. The event will maintain its usual format on the Passeig de Mar, featuring stands, performances, and various activities organized by local entities. Preparations for this edition are already underway, with weekly meetings to finalize the program details.
Concurrently, Lloret de Mar has initiated procedures for the creation of a walkable fountain on Rieral Avenue, which will incorporate water and light displays. This project, stemming from the municipality's participatory budgets, aims to revitalize a currently unused space and transform it into a new recreational and family-friendly area for residents and visitors. The installation will feature seventeen jets equipped with LED lighting, allowing for dynamic sequences of water and light to create attractive visual spectacles.
Furthermore, the Government of Catalonia is developing a new model to regularize over 730 urbanizations across the country with urban planning deficiencies, where approximately 130,000 people reside. The plan proposes a progressive approach, adapted to the specific characteristics of each case, and aims to facilitate funding for local councils and residents through the Catalan Institute of Finance. Many of these urbanizations were built between the 1960s and 1980s without essential services and currently present significant shortcomings.
In the cultural sphere, artist Niña Pastori has joined the lineup of the Mar d'Estiu festival in Santa Susanna, with a performance scheduled for August 4th. The singer will present her new album, COLOR FANIA, a project that fuses flamenco with Latin music classics. This addition strengthens the festival's program, which already includes prominent names such as Miguel Ríos, Leire Martínez with Marlena, and Rosario, and is set to kick off on July 31st.
