The Spanish rail infrastructure manager Adif has announced that Catalonia's railway network will have 225 temporary speed limits in place starting next Monday, covering 180 kilometers of track.

According to the weekly technical document, twelve new sections have been added due to newly detected track pathologies. However, the total length of affected track has decreased by 28 kilometers following the completion of works between Móra la Nova and Reus on the R15 line.
New restrictions have been implemented in the Selva region, specifically between Maçanet-Massanes and Blanes. Additionally, in the Lleida area, trains will be restricted to 50 km/h on a 6.7-kilometer stretch between Cervera and Calaf.

"A l'abril s'hauran eliminat totes les limitacions temporals de velocitat, que s'anirien retirant progressivament."

José Antonio Santano · Secretary of State for Transport
Barcelona remains the most affected province with 103 restricted sections, followed by Tarragona with 73. Government officials expect most of these temporary limits to be lifted by April as maintenance works progress.
