The Blanes Town Council reported significant attendance at its Miniclub Infantil this summer, with over 1,500 children participating in the free activities. This service, designed to enhance family tourism options, operated from July 1st to August 31st.
The venue averaged 26 children daily, with peak days seeing around fifty attendees. Located under a pine grove at the end of S'Abanell promenade, the Miniclub provides a sun-protected environment for children aged 3 to 12, who must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
With a maximum capacity of 20 people, stays are limited to 30 minutes during busy periods to ensure fair rotation and access for more families. Open daily from 10 AM to 2 PM, the club features monitors organizing activities such as crafts, dancing, face painting, and educational experiments.
In addition to games and storytelling, two inflatable structures on-site are a major draw for children, who can use them without time limits unless there is a waiting list. The facility also includes restrooms for visitor convenience.
Visitors hail from across Catalonia and Spain, with a notable presence of families from France, Germany, the Netherlands, Ukraine, and Belgium. The council views the service's reception positively, seeing it as a contribution to Blanes' reputation as a family tourism destination, a certification the municipality has held since 2008.
The Miniclub is part of a broader range of summer activities offered by Blanes, including free guided tours focusing on heritage, literature, and the historic town center.
