A serious fire broke out this Friday afternoon at an old villa located in the Racó Blau area of Blanes, leading to the emergency evacuation of several occupants.

The fire started around 3:30 PM in the garden of the estate, formerly the residence of the SAFA factory director. The flames quickly spread to the two-story building located near the Mas Marull neighborhood and the Malgrat Road.
Emergency services, including Bombers de la Generalitat and Local Police, managed to prevent the fire from reaching the nearby forest. While no humans were injured, a colony of cats living on the property perished. The Blanes City Council has provided temporary accommodation for the displaced residents.
