The Lloret de Mar City Council approved a record 101 million euro budget for 2026 this Monday, marking the highest financial plan in the municipality's history with increased investments.

The extraordinary plenary session of the Lloret de Mar City Council approved the 2026 budget this Monday, totaling over 101 million euros. This figure represents the largest budget ever managed by the town in the Selva region.
The financial plan includes 8,667,000 euros for direct investments, an 11.94% increase compared to 2025. Key sectors receiving more funding include Public Spaces and Urbanism, with a 47% rise, and sports, which sees a 14% boost.
The budget was passed with votes from the governing coalition of PSC and Lloret en Comú, joined by Sumem Lloret. Opposition parties Junts, Tots per Lloret, and ERC voted against the proposal, while VOX abstained.
