The initiative, coordinated by the Casal de la Gent Gran with the collaboration of the Fundació Aspronis and municipal social services, has allowed for an analysis of vulnerability in two areas of the municipality: the urban center and various residential developments.
The analysis was conducted through telephone surveys and home visits. Preliminary results show a notable difference between areas: in the urban core, more than a quarter of the participants living alone reported feeling lonely, while in the residential developments, this percentage was lower.
“"The objective of this work is to identify situations of vulnerability and promote actions to strengthen social cohesion."
Following this detection, each case will be analyzed to offer personalized responses. These could include the creation of conversation groups, companionship services, or the dissemination of information about municipal activities and resources available for the elderly.
The Compartim program, launched in late 2025, aims primarily to detect and combat loneliness among the elderly, foster their active participation in community life, and involve the local social and commercial fabric in supporting this vulnerable group.
