The Plenary Session of the Maçanet de la Selva Town Council initially approved the municipal budget of 10.7 million euros on February 3, 2026, with the support of SOM Maçanet and the abstention of Més x Maçanet and the PSC.

The initial approval of the accounts, which amount to 10,751,740.89 euros, occurred with votes in favor from SOM Maçanet and the abstention of the political groups Més x Maçanet and the PSC.
The municipal government highlighted that the 2026 budget significantly reinforces allocations for territorial management, including actions in mobility, public road improvements, and the maintenance of green areas and perimeter strips.

The main goal is to achieve 60% recycling through the new waste collection model, improving the current percentage close to 50%.

In addition to territorial management, resources for educational services and social welfare are also increased, with actions linked to housing and the management of the CIS-SAIAR. New investments will be evaluated once those currently being executed from the previous year are completed.
