Enrollment figures for the new school year in Lloret de Mar show 206 students in nurseries. Early Childhood and Primary Education cater to 3,084 students, while Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) reaches 1,670. Post-compulsory studies, including Baccalaureate and vocational training cycles, register 589 enrollments.
The mayor of Lloret, Adrià Lamelas, welcomed all students, emphasizing the importance of the new generations for the municipality's future. "They are our future, and seeing them grow, learn, and be educated is also seeing Lloret grow," he stated.
Improvements and maintenance work have been carried out in educational centers during the summer holidays, with an approximate investment of 350,000 euros. These actions aim to ensure the facilities are ready for the new academic year. The Councilor for Education, Carles Costa, highlighted that the investment enhances the functionality of the spaces for the educational community.
The most notable interventions include improvements to the playground, repairs of dampness, and waterproofing at the Esteve Carles school (with 82,198 euros), as well as painting and maintenance work at the Pere Torrent school (with 111,626 euros).
The Pompeu Fabra school received 28,355 euros for general improvements, while the Àngels Alemany school allocated 65,672 euros primarily for the renovation of changing rooms. Improvements have also been made to the Institut Escola, the Joan Domènech school, and the municipal nurseries Lola Anglada and Els Pops.
