A total of 1,570 primary school students from the Girona Pyrenees are participating this winter in the Esport Blanc Escolar program at La Molina, Vall de Núria, and Vallter ski resorts.

Now in its 13th edition, the program is designed for 3rd and 4th-grade students. It is organized by the Sports and Education departments of the Catalan Government, making winter sports part of the official Physical Education curriculum during school hours.
The participation is spread across several counties, with 1,141 students from Cerdanya and Berguedà attending La Molina. In the Ripollès region, 429 students from 11 schools are training at Vall de Núria and Vallter resorts.
The activities include alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowboarding. The season will conclude in March with the Snow Graduation events, a final gathering for all participating schools to celebrate their progress on the slopes.
