The municipality of Anglès (Selva) suffered a new water pipe rupture on Tuesday evening, caused by a second collapse of the retaining wall on Carrer del Pla de la Coma, delaying service recovery.

The new incident occurred while workers were trying to restore the supply following the first landslide that took place on Sunday at noon. This initial collapse, located above the Sant Amanç stream, had already left most of the town without water.
Repair tasks had been prolonged due to technical difficulties. By Tuesday afternoon, technicians had managed to connect the pumping and supply pipes and had started filling the wells. It was during this process that another section of the wall gave way, causing the new failure.
Currently, efforts are focused on installing a provisional bypass to redirect water to the wells and gradually restore service. The council estimates that once the water reaches the reservoir, it may take about four hours for the pressure to return to normal in all homes in Anglès.
Meanwhile, the Anglès Town Council keeps the drinking water cistern open at the former Burés factory. On Tuesday, this cistern was available to residents in two shifts: from ten in the morning to one in the afternoon and from four in the afternoon to eight in the evening.
