The new landslide occurred on Tuesday afternoon, just as workers had managed to connect the impulse and supply pipes broken by the first incident, which took place on Sunday at noon. This second breakage has forced the implementation of a 'bypass' to redirect water to the wells.
The initial fall of the retaining wall, located above the Sant Amanç stream, caused a section of the street to collapse and broke the pipe connecting to the municipal reservoir, leaving most residents of Anglès without supply since Sunday.
The initial intention of the council was to replace the broken pipe section throughout Monday, but technical difficulties, mainly the need to install concrete blocks as a base, delayed the connection. The new landslide on Pla de la Coma street has further complicated the situation.
The Anglès Town Council estimates that once water reaches the reservoir, it will take approximately four hours to restore normal pressure to all homes. Meanwhile, the drinking water tank at the old Burés factory remained open, with public service hours throughout Tuesday.
