The towns of Sils and Maçanet de la Selva have voiced their frustration this March over the continued use of temporary modular classrooms, some of which have been in place for nearly 20 years.

In Sils, students have been waiting 17 years for a permanent high school building. Mayor Eduard Colomé criticized the current state of the temporary structures, noting they hinder the development of further educational facilities.

"The situation is absolutely disastrous and makes it impossible to build a solid educational project."

The situation in Maçanet de la Selva dates back to 2009, with projections suggesting a new center might not be ready until 2031. The local council has called an extraordinary meeting to address the structural deficiencies.
