The event, held in the Council Chamber, brought together family, friends, and numerous residents to celebrate this historic achievement. The recognition highlights Guillén's sporting career and, especially, her success achieved in 2026 in Darwin, Australia, making her the first Spaniard to win this title at just twenty years old.
The tribute was attended by the mayor, Adrià Lamelas, the Councilor for Sports, Frederic Guich, and representatives from the Catalan Motorcycling Federation. During the reception, the mayor and the rider shared a conversation about her career and the path to the world title.
“"The world title is the dream I wanted and pursued so much since I was very little; achieving it has been something immense."
Adrià Lamelas emphasized Guillén's values, highlighting that her career is an example for young people and contributes to raising the profile of women in motorsport.
Daniela Guillén, who started riding a motorcycle at three years old, has been runner-up in the world in 2023 and 2024 and third in 2025. This season, she achieved three Grand Prix victories in France, Germany, and Australia, winning the final two heats in Darwin to secure the title.
