The first phase of the campaign, which started on October 5th, is focused on residents of elderly care homes and disability centers, individuals receiving home care, high-risk individuals, those with weakened immune systems, and patients with chronic illnesses. It also includes people aged 80 years and over, children between 6 and 59 months, pregnant women or those who have given birth in the last six months, and healthcare and social healthcare personnel.
In Lloret de Mar, vaccination is taking place at the CAP 1, Dr. Agustí Cabañas, located on Girona street. In Tossa de Mar, it is administered at the Local Health Center.
To book a prior appointment, citizens can visit the primary care center in person, call 972 37 29 09 (CAP 1 Lloret), use the La Meva Salut application, or access the website citasalut.gencat.cat.
The second phase of the campaign will commence on October 26th, targeting individuals aged 60 years and over and other at-risk groups, including teaching staff and essential service professionals. This phase will also require prior appointments.
Starting from November 16th, vaccination will be available without the need for a prior appointment.
The ABS emphasizes the importance of vaccination as a preventive measure, particularly for those at higher risk of complications, and recommends taking advantage of the campaign for the autumn and winter season. Individuals can choose to receive both vaccines or just one.
