Vidreres is gearing up to celebrate a new edition of the Festa de Sant Iscle i Santa Victòria, known as the town's Festa Petita (Little Festival). The events will run from November 13-15, offering a varied program that combines cultural, recreational, popular, and family-friendly activities for all ages.
Local gastronomy will play a prominent role, with salsafí as the star ingredient. Several establishments in the municipality will participate in a gastronomic campaign dedicated to this emblematic product. Restaurants Can Magí, El Cafè de la Selis, and Saó Restaurant Gastrobar will offer special dishes and menus, while Fleca Can Companyó, Supermercat Can Batallé, Carnisseria Batllosera, and Carnisseria Ginesta will feature salsafí and products made with it.
The program will kick off on Friday, November 13, with an afternoon tea dance and a concert by Flama de Farners, featuring soprano Elena Martinell.
On Saturday, November 14, the day will cater to diverse audiences. It will include a storytelling session for babies, 'A la voreta dels núvols,' by the company Patawa, second-hand stalls by sixth-grade students from Escola Sant Iscle, a children's airplane construction workshop, a play area with toys and inflatables, the street painting contest 'Fefes de colors,' and the participatory workshop 'La recepta per estar a gust.' There will also be a cooking workshop on food waste with chef Joan Pau Romaní, a vermouth concert with Dreams, a parade by the Colla Gegantera de Vidreres, a talk on 'El vescomtat de Cabrera,' a popular chocolate tasting, and music by local DJs.
Sunday, November 15, will begin with a popular breakfast and activities related to classic vehicles and bicycles, such as the XXIII Ruta dels Tapers and a gathering of classic cars and motorcycles. The program will continue with a popular walk to Sant Iscle Castle, the solemn mass of Sant Iscle and Santa Victòria, Vermuteja with tastings and sparkling wines, a concert by The Cover Land featuring DJ Pubilla Hilton, the family show 'El taller de malabars' by Moi Jordana, and the Festa Petita dance with the duo Sònia i Albert.
The Festa de Sant Iscle i Santa Victòria will once again bring together cultural activities, family-friendly events, music, and gastronomy throughout the weekend.
