The Solsona Carnival marks a milestone in 2026 as three of its most beloved figures, the Comte de l'Assaltu, Pep dels Oriols, and Draca Xica, celebrate major anniversaries.

Crafted at the famous Casserras workshop, these giants are central to the local identity of Solsona. The Comte de l'Assaltu and Pep dels Oriols were first introduced in 1986, making this their 40th year on the streets.

"I wanted it to be identical to the original, to be able to turn its head and throw flour from its mouth."
