The Generalitat Firefighters responded this Wednesday, February 25, to two minor vegetation fires in the towns of Olius and Prats de Lluçanès, which affected small areas of forest and scrubland.

In Olius, located in the Solsonès region, the alert was raised around 6:00 PM near a local path. One firefighting unit managed to extinguish the flames quickly, concluding the operation by 6:15 PM after approximately 300 meters of forest floor were burned.
A similar incident occurred earlier in Prats de Lluçanès at approximately 12:45 PM on Sant Andreu street. In this case, between 200 and 300 meters of brushwood were destroyed, though no significant damage or injuries were reported.
Authorities have used these incidents to remind the public that despite recent heavy rains, high temperatures make it easy for fires to start, urging citizens to remain vigilant in forested areas across Catalonia.
