The operation by the Bombers de la Generalitat (Catalan Firefighters) was active throughout Saturday morning, resolving a total of 116 incidents caused by the rain and snow storm. The most significant intervention took place in Navès, in the Solsonès region, where forty vehicles had to be rescued after being immobilized on the C-462 road, four of which had gone off the road.
In addition to the operation in Solsonès, emergency teams provided assistance to ten cars blocked by snow in the municipality of Isona i Conca Dellà, located in Pallars Jussà. Services were also registered in other parts of Catalonia, such as Toses (Ripollès) and Vilanova de Prades (Conca de Barberà).
Mobility problems did not only affect private vehicles. In Calders, in Moianès, the Firefighters had to assist a coach that had become stuck across the B-124 road. Another bus was stranded on the GI-401, near Gombrèn. Between 12 PM and 2 PM, the pace of alerts intensified, totaling 61 services.
Out of the total 116 alerts managed until 2 PM, 18 were directly related to snow. By emergency regions, Tarragona accumulated the most incidents (39, with 2 due to snow), followed by the Centre region (25, with 11 due to snow) and Lleida (11). The services were primarily motivated by stranded vehicles, fallen trees, and minor landslides.
