The proposal, driven by the Technical Team for Community Action (ETAC) of the Citizenship and Cohesion Service of the Consell Comarcal, has been well-received by the local councils. In this initial phase, Creixell, La Nou de Gaià, La Pobla de Montornès, La Riera de Gaià, Salomó, Vespella de Gaià, and Vilallonga del Camp are participating.
Using a practical methodology focused on real-life situations, the project aims to help participants overcome their fear of speaking, gain communicative confidence, and develop more autonomously in contexts such as shops, public services, or neighborhood interactions. It also seeks to create spaces for conversation and connection to strengthen a sense of community belonging.
The collaboration of the town councils is crucial for implementing the activity and bringing resources to the territory. The project will begin in November and requires groups of at least eight people. Registrations can be made by sending a message to 611 607 159 or by scanning the QR code on the official posters.
Sessions will be held at different times and locations: in La Riera de Gaià (Wednesdays, Escola Montliu), Vilallonga del Camp (Wednesdays, Punt Vila), Vespella de Gaià (day to be confirmed, Centre Cultural), La Pobla de Montornès (Tuesdays, Sala de Formació), La Nou de Gaià (Thursdays, Espai dels Jubilats), Creixell (Tuesdays, Biblioteca Municipal), and Salomó (Thursdays, Escola Josep Nin).
This first phase opens the door for future expansions. Municipalities interested in hosting the initiative in a second stage can contact the ETAC of the Consell Comarcal del Tarragonès, thereby reinforcing the commitment to promoting the Catalan language and social cohesion.
