The El Morell City Council, led by Mayor Eloi Calbet, has approved the project to create a new 272 m² skatepark in the sports zone, addressing a sustained demand from local youth.

The new facility is designed for skateboarding, roller skating, and other urban sports, and will be located next to the pavilion and the paddle tennis courts. This transformation will convert an underutilized space into a new hub for activity and socializing for the community of El Morell.

"This project responds to a real and sustained demand from young people and commits to a modern, safe, and quality space, designed to have a long lifespan."

The track will be made of smooth concrete, covering 272 m² in a street style, and will include elements such as ramps, curbs, ledges, rails, pyramids, and quarters. It will be adapted for both beginner and advanced users, and has been designed with criteria for urban integration and respect for existing vegetation.
The Sports Councillor, Mònica Casas, emphasized that the project reinforces El Morell's image as an active and modern municipality, promoting healthy habits and outdoor sports. The area will be delimited and accessible only during the pavilion's opening hours, ensuring adequate coexistence and safety.
