The Port of Tarragona has opened the call for entries for the seventh edition of PortAutors-es, a singer-songwriter contest seeking new musical talents.

Applications can be submitted until October 7, 2026, via the online registration form. The contest final will take place on November 21 at the Teatret del Serrallo, bringing together the six selected finalist artists.
The competition is open to singer-songwriters aged 18 or over, of any nationality, who perform their own compositions. Any musical style, instrumentation, and language is accepted, aiming to promote creativity and diversity.
To participate, applicants must complete the form before the deadline and submit three original pieces (published or unpublished), a technical sheet, and graphic material for promotion. A professional jury will select the six finalists and four reserves.

"PortAutors-es continues to consolidate itself as a benchmark platform for promoting new singer-songwriter talents, offering emerging artists an opportunity to showcase their projects to the public and music industry professionals."

The event offers five awards designed to boost artistic projection: the Jury Award, with performances at festivals; the Audience Award, voted on social media; the Local Artist Award, including musical training; the FIM Vila-seca Award, with a performance at the fair; and the Port Tarragona Award, which includes the production of a professional music video.
In addition to the contest, initiatives such as the Projecte Família PortAutors, with training sessions for finalists, and PortAutors en Xarxa, to foster collaboration between festivals and programmers, are being promoted.
