The operation, carried out last Sunday, involved officers from the Mossos d’Esquadra’s Citizen Security Unit from the Torredembarra police station and the Operational Resources Area, along with personnel from the Torredembarra Local Police, the Guardia Civil, the National Police, and the Labor Inspectorate. The deployment focused on two establishments on Tarragona street in the town.
During the intervention, officers located a total of 15 packets of cocaine, weighing approximately 8 grams with an estimated illicit market value of 500 euros, concealed under a billiard table in one of the premises. Security cameras in the establishment clearly showed one of the individuals discarding the packets upon noticing the officers' entry.
In addition to the arrest, the Mossos d’Esquadra issued five citations for possession of narcotic substances. The Torredembarra Local Police processed two administrative reports for violations related to mandatory signage and an expired fire extinguisher inspection. The Guardia Civil issued two administrative reports for fiscal regulation infringements and sealed a tobacco machine. Finally, the National Police summoned six individuals for violations of the Immigration Law, and the Labor Inspectorate recorded a violation for failure to communicate a work registration.
The arrested individual was brought before the duty investigating court in El Vendrell yesterday, Monday.
