Improvement works on the Camarles crossing.

The Diputació de Tarragona has begun renovation works on the Camarles crossing, with an investment of 200,000 euros and an estimated duration of three months.

The actions aim to improve safety, coexistence between pedestrians and vehicles, and create a more accessible and integrated urban environment for users of this road. The work focuses on a 180-meter section of the TV-3409, which will become one-way to widen sidewalks up to 3.8 meters and the carriageway up to 8.4 meters.
Parking spaces will be reorganized, and paving and signage will be improved. The streets Vint-i-set, Quaranta-dos, and Trenta will also be reordered to handle traffic in the opposite direction. During the works, there will be occasional closures and traffic restrictions.
The Diputació de Tarragona and the Camarles City Council have signed a collaboration agreement to transfer the affected roads for four years. Once completed, the Diputació will be responsible for the maintenance of these roads, which will become part of its Local Road Network, while sidewalks and parking areas will be managed again by the City Council.
