Mossos d'Esquadra have intensified checks in the Mas del Plata urbanization, in Tarragona, to ensure safety after disturbances caused by an individual arrested in a recent large-scale police operation.

The peace of residents in the Mas del Plata urbanization, in the municipality of Tarragona, is being disturbed by the aftermath of a large-scale police operation conducted on June 10th against a marijuana trafficking network. The operation resulted in 14 arrests, the search of 5 properties, and the seizure of 5,000 cannabis plants.
One of the arrested individuals, who was later released on bail, has caused concern among residents due to his behavior. According to witnesses, on Friday afternoons he drove recklessly through the urbanization in his car, accumulating several administrative complaints.
In response to these events, the Mossos d'Esquadra have increased their presence in the area. Police sources have confirmed that checks will be carried out continuously, both static and mobile, and visibly or covertly, for as long as deemed necessary to restore normality.
