The Sol Ric restaurant, an emblematic establishment in Tarragona, has begun the demolition process in the Vall de l’Arrabassada area. The City Council has granted the relevant license to the fast-food chain McDonald's, authorizing both the demolition of the historic building and the construction of the new premises.

Sol Ric permanently closed its doors in 2022, ending over six decades of operation. Throughout its long history, the restaurant was a key meeting point in Tarragona for celebrating various events, including weddings, communions, family meals, and traditional calçotadas.
