Sports councils in the Camp de Tarragona, Terres de l'Ebre, and Baix Penedès can now apply for subsidies to carry out actions that foster healthy physical habits. The application deadline is July 8, and submissions must be made through the Provincial Council's electronic headquarters.
This year, these subsidies have a total budget of €374,000. Eligible activities are grouped into several categories: sport for all (including family and outdoor activities), activities for people with functional diversity, school-age multi-sports, and training. Singular programs for health promotion and community well-being are also included, covering proposals such as team games, tournaments, water sports, solidarity initiatives, dances, or adapted activities.
The objective of these grants is to strengthen institutional support for sports, improve the quality of sporting events, and promote citizen participation in physical activities.
In parallel, the Provincial Council has also launched a call for in-kind grants for the loan of inflatable finish line arches for sporting events. Interested sports councils can apply until June 23, to support school competitions, popular races, health promotion activities, multi-sport events, and institutional sports gatherings.
