The Guàrdia Urbana of Tarragona and the Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested two people during the action plan in the Sant Pere i Sant Pau neighborhood, carried out between June 15 and 30, 2026.

During the operation, which coincided with the neighborhood's festivities, 185 individuals were identified and 25 vehicles were checked, leading to two immobilizations. The police actions totaled over 130 hours of deployed personnel.
In terms of sanctions, 32 traffic citations were issued, eight for violations of civility and municipal ordinances, one under Law 4/2015, two related to weapons or dangerous objects, and seven for narcotics.
Furthermore, four judicial proceedings were initiated, primarily linked to road safety offenses and other criminal acts, culminating in the two aforementioned arrests.
The plan also included proximity and prevention tasks, with contact with residents and visits to commercial establishments to improve information gathering and citizen relations.
The main objectives of the police forces were to enhance prevention, proximity, and the perception of security in the neighborhood, ensuring safe festivities and community coexistence. Police presence was intensified in crowded areas, such as festive events and the amusement zone, through foot patrols and preventive checks.
This initiative is part of the annual joint planning between the Guàrdia Urbana and the Mossos d’Esquadra to improve security and proximity in the city's various neighborhoods.
