The company Caffero Fireworks, from the Netherlands, has been declared the winner of the 34th edition of the Tarragona International Fireworks Competition this weekend.

The jury awarded the Dutch firm the Venus City of Tarragona Trophy after achieving a score of 1,696 points. As a result of this recognition, the company will be responsible for designing the fireworks displays for the Santa Tecla festivities in 2026, with a contract valued at 26,000 euros.
The competition's assessment took into account various technical and artistic parameters, such as color variety, rhythm, sound, color brightness, and the use of airspace. The final verdict was decided by a 166-point margin over the runner-up.
Second place went to Pirotècnia Alto Palancia, which received the Special Festa Major de Granollers-Blancs i Blaus Trophy, allowing them to perform the fireworks display in the town of Granollers in 2027. The podium was completed by Pirotecnia Fuegos Artificiales Josman from Galicia, followed by the Italian firm Pirotecnia Lieto Carmine.
